Meeting on Legal Services: 18th February, 2021
In October 2019, the Branch was addressed by Dot Mullaly, Solicitor and Partner in the firm of McDougall McQueen. Dot gave a most informative talk on legal issues affecting retired members and their families. Dot outlined the importance of making appropriate legal arrangements for Wills, Powers of Attorney, Advanced Directives, Trusts etc.
Unite Retired Members Plus are entitled to have wills prepared free of charge by union appointed solicitors. Members are encouraged to take advantage of this.
The talk generated a lot of interest and it was agreed that we should devote a session to these issues and Dot agreed to return. The Branch has arranged a further session with Dot and this will be held by Zoom on Thursday 18th February at 12.30pm. Branch members who are on the Secretary's mailing list will receive the details of this meeting and how to participate.
